Word Race › Wordle unlimited
Wordle unlimited, solo or with friends
The daily Wordle gives you one word a day. Word Race gives you as many as you want: start a game, solve a pool of words against the clock, then start another.

How solo play works
Play solo puts you in a private room on your own and starts a Marathon of 15 words with a 10-minute timer straight away. Each word has six tries and the usual green, yellow and grey tiles. Solve it and the next word appears; you score 6 points for a first-try solve down to 1 point on the sixth try. When the time runs out or you finish the pool, you see every word with your tries and time on each.
Want something different? Press Change settings after a game to pick another mode, from 1 to 50 words and from 1 to 60 minutes, then play again. There is no daily limit and no account.
Good ways to practise
- Sprint: 10 words in 3 minutes. Trains you to commit to a guess quickly, which is what wins Race and Blitz.
- Accuracy: 15 words, 20 minutes, Marathon. No time pressure, so aim to solve every word in four guesses or fewer.
- Nerves: Survival with 50 words. See how far you get before your first miss.
- Openers: try the measured best starting words for a few games and watch your average guesses drop.
Bring friends in
Every solo room is a normal room. Tap Share link and anyone who opens it joins the same game, even halfway through. For a proper contest, go back to the home page, create a room, wait for everyone and then start, so you all begin together. See the four modes.
The words
Answers come from about 1,000 everyday five-letter words, such as smile, beach and pizza, so practice is about technique, not vocabulary. Any real English word is accepted as a guess, and a word that is not real is rejected without using up a try.
