How to play Word Race

1. Make a room. Type your name, tap Create a room and send the five-character code (or the link) to your friends. Phones and laptops can share a room.
2. Guess five-letter words in six tries. Green: right letter, right place. Yellow: in the word, elsewhere. Grey: not in it.
3. Only real English words are accepted, and a rejected word costs no try.
4. Marathon: solve as many as you can before the timer; 6 points for a first-try solve down to 1. Race: first to clear the pool. Survival: one miss and you are out. Blitz: everyone plays the same word at once, with a bonus for the first three to solve it.

Settings

The host can change these in the room before starting:

• Mode: Marathon: most points, Race: first to finish, Survival: one miss and out, Blitz: same word, same moment (default Marathon: most points).
• Words (Blitz: rounds): 1 to 50 (default 15).
• Time limit (not Blitz): 1 to 60 min (default 10).
• Seconds per Blitz round: 20 to 300 seconds (default 90 seconds).
